Updating WordPress version

WordPress is constantly being revised and updated to reflect new security standards, add new features, and make the entire experience more user-friendly. That means that it is important to make sure that you are using the most up-to-date WordPress version so that your website runs the way it should. If are designing your own website as a part of our Build Your Website Essentials course or you have a basic care plan, read below for how to update your WordPress. If you are a care plan client at a Standard tier or higher, scroll down to learn how our care plan will keep your website up to date.

Update WordPress from your Flywheel Dashboard

If you receive a notification that you need to update your WordPress version, log in to your Flywheel dashboard. Then go to the “Advanced” tab and click “Update.” You’ll need to enter your password again to approve this upgrade.

If you have any trouble with your client username and password on Flywheel, reset your password or contact support@maplecreative.com for help.
