How to add a guest author

While there are many guest author plugins available, working with the WordPress core features is always preferable if you can. Here is a way to use the default user settings in WordPress to create guest author accounts on your website, add a profile image, bio, and have it appear with your blog content.

• Create a user whenever you need to display a new author profile
• Create email aliases if you don't want to use their actual email (Example: guest-name@centerforcoalfieldjustice.org)
• Make sure "Send User Notification" is UNCHECKED (see screenshot below)

• Set the account to be a contributor (see screenshot below)

• Then apply them as an author in the post settings
• Use Quick-edit in the posts list for convenient access (see screenshot below)
